Connecting Future Leaders
Club_ERIC
Club ERIC is the alumni network of MariaReginaInternational, the talent promotion program at the private high school Maria Regina in Vienna. In this context, European and international relations are fostered and lived. The focus of the education is on European Relationships & International Cooperation. Hence our name ERIC.
Openness to new things, interest in the foreign, and discovering one’s own possibilities in a networked world of tomorrow are important to us. We face the challenges of the present with responsibility and want to advocate for a peaceful coexistence on our continent through our commitment to the European idea and the observance of human rights.

As part of our education, we ERICs are awarded with the ERIC pin and a certificate. The prerequisites for this are participation in the MariaReginaInternationalProgram for at least 2 years and completion of two study trips to Brussels and Geneva. Afterwards, membership in our Club ERIC is granted.
Special ERICs have been in the MariaReginaInternationalProgram for a total of five years and in addition to Brussels and Geneva, have participated in other trips. For example to Strasbourg, Luxembourg, Zagreb, Berlin, etc., and conclude this focus of their education with the „Matura“ exam (equivalent to high school graduation or A-levels).

Junior Ambassador of the European Parliament
Some of our alumni were Junior Ambassadors to the European Parliament during their school years. As an Ambassador School of the European Parliament, Maria Regina High School has the opportunity to appoint committed young people through an internal application and selection process. Thus, the applicants gain their first experience of facing a commission in a hearing. Moreover, this provides them with the opportunity to represent Europe externally and to explain the important European issues internally.
